Extra Silken Tofu Chocolate Mousse Recipe in 2 Minutes
Whenever you’re in the mood for a quick and easy dessert, this vegan chocolate tofu mousse is your best choice. It is an easy recipe which requires only a few ingredients and will be ready in five minutes. The only equipment required is a food processor or a high-speed blender, they will both work.
Servings: 2 peoples
- 8 oz. silken tofu
- 2.5 oz. chocolate of choice, chopped
- 1 tbsp honey
You have two options of melting the chocolate. The first alternative is to place it in the microwave and set the timer to 30 seconds. Stir well and then microwave for 30 seconds more. Do that until it melts completely. It will take about two minutes. The other option is to place the chocolate chunks in a bowl over a pot filled with boiling water. Stir from time to time until everything melts down. The time period is about the same, around two minutes. Remove the chocolate from heat and set aside to cool at room temperature for a couple of minutes.
Place the tofu, chocolate and honey in a food processor. Mix until well combined and smooth.
Divide between serving bowls and refrigerate for at least half an hour before serving.
Decorate with whatever topping you like (chocolate shavings, coconut flakes, fruits, herbs, spices, etc) and serve.
Nobody can say no to this silky and soft dessert. It will simply melt in your mouth. Being so easy to prepare and so versatile with the topping, I’m sure that you will become addicted and prepare it more than once. In fact, you’ll see that you end up doing it most of the times you crave for something sweet.
- Silken tofu should also be at the same temperature as the chocolate so they create a smooth mixture.
- If you want to enrich your mousse with some toasted nuts, make sure you do that after blending. Use a wooden spatula and gently fold them into the mixture.
- This doesn’t happen too often but when it does, you should know that you can keep any leftovers in the fridge for maximum four days. I’m pretty sure they won’t last that long but you never know.
